They're willing to take the risk

When he first moved in, he heard numerous stories about break-ins in his housing estate in Malaysia. But that did not deter him from deciding to spend his retirement years there.

Singaporean Mr Buang Ismail, 64, moved with his wife, Madam Shamsiah Selamat, also 64, to Johor Baru about six years ago.

And despite recent media reports of crime involving Singaporeans there, he remains unfazed, as do many others.
