Breaking Myolie Wu's brave front

So soon after her break-up with Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu couldn’t keep a smile on for long despite winning a top award here yesterday.

At the StarHub TVB Awards 2012, held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the 32-year-old actress betrayed no sign of emotion as a video clip of Wong played on the giant projector screen. She smiled throughout Wong’s pre-recorded segment.

But it took bubbly actress Linda Chung to finally crack Wu's brave front. Chung, who had received an award for Best Smile, gave a speech about her dad advising her to face life with a smile, instead of frowns.

When Wu went on stage to receive one of the biggest accolades of the night, My Favourite TVB Actress, her positive facade was replaced by pensiveness. "I feel very touched listening to what Linda said, it’s so true, we really should smile more," she said.
