IF IT is your birthday soon, you may want to play The New Paper’s Bingo – birthdays seem to be providing all the luck for our winners this week.

Yesterday, Mrs Catherine Cho, 63, claimed the Xbox 4GB Kinect bundle after her grandson, Keith Cho, told her that she had all the right numbers.

The retiree said she will be giving the Xbox to him for his 13th birthday on July 30.

“I was really surprised,” she said. “My grandson was looking out for the numbers for me, and I wasn’t expecting to win at all.”

“He is really happy,” said Mrs Cho. “And he’s looking forward to us buying more games for him.”

Just two days ago, Mr Abdullah Abu Bakar, a protection officer with Cisco, won a Samsung 46-inch 3-D LED SmartTV – less than a week before his 53rd birthday.

But fret not, the big cash prize has yet to be claimed and has snowballed to $6,000.

Also, Bingo players can still win a Samsung 46-inch 3-D LED SmartTV and Xbox 4GB Kinect bundle, because an extra set of each has been added.

To play, readers need to get a Bingo card, which is attached to the front cover of The New Paper every Monday. Each copy of the newspaper will have one card with a unique sequence of numbers.

The card will be valid for that week only.

From Tuesday to Sunday, 10 random numbers from one to 99 will appear each day in the paper.

If any of the numbers from the same week appear on your card, mark it down.

A vertical column (from top to bottom) of matching numbers entitles you to the prize shown on top of that column.

Prizes must be claimed by 9pm on the same day and can be picked up at 82, Genting Lane, Level 2, Media Centre (Circulation Department).

If a cash prize is not claimed for the day, it will snowball to the next day.

The contest is TNP’s way of thanking and rewarding loyal readers. Readers can buy as many copies of the paper and get as many cards as they wish.
