The New Paper’s Bingo contest has seen 20 winners since it started on July 9.
Yesterday’s last cash prize of $1,000 went unclaimed and will now go to charity initiative Project Helping Hands, which is a tie-up between Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Lions Befrienders Service Association and TNP.
The project aims to install wireless motion sensors in the homes of elderly who live alone. The sensors will trigger alerts for caregivers if the resident becomes motionless for an extended period of time.
