Too dark, no flash, but...

HE WANTED a shot when the military contingent marched past the ArtScience Museum during the National Day Parade.

However, Mr Lionel Ng Hanxiang had a problem - it was dark and he didn't have his camera flash with him.

Then an idea struck him - the 28-year-old engineer decided to "borrow" some light from his fellow shutterbugs, setting up a long exposure and panning it along with the marching contingent.

The gamble paid off as one of his shots was picked by the judges of this week's The Big Picture contest under the theme of "A Nation Celebrates".

Check out the other finalists from Week 2 here.
