CLINT Eastwood probably has his eye on the Oscar again.

He's ditched Matt Damon and snagged Leonardo DiCaprio to star in the biopic of the man who was arguably once the most powerful man in the US.

The man in question? J Edgar Hoover, the first director of the FBI who introduced many crime-fighting methods as well as raised questions as to whether he overstepped the bounds of justice.
