Transvestite charged while in hospital

The transvestite accused of stabbing his lover has been charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous means.

William Hanz Harries Gado, 23, was hospitalised on Sunday night, the same night he allegedly used a knife to stab an Australian expatriate, Mr Colin James Peady, 46.

The attack happened at the lift lobby of Block D, Sunhaven Condominium, at Upper Changi Road East, near Simei.

A field magistrate went to the hospital to charge Gado on Tuesday.
