CURIOSITY nearly killed the cat - and her four newborn kittens as well.

A mother cat was trapped behind the granite panels of a wall at Harbourfront Tower for at least three days.

However, thanks to Ms R Gowri (above), 19, this story didn't end in tragedy. Contractors were called in to remove two portions of the granite tiles to rescue the trapped feline - which ran away - leaving her litter behind.

With permission from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, allowed Ms Gowri's mother to take the kittens home and care for them.
