Tyres explode at Sungei Kadut scrapyard fire

When a fire started in Eu Guan Machinery, a lorry scrapyard in Sungei Kadut Avenue, yesterday afternoon, workers grabbed fire extinguishers to try to fight the fire.

But the fire spread quickly and even reached the workshop's 30m-high ceiling. Some tyres also exploded.

That was when the workers fled the scene.
