All the signs seem to be pointing to the arrival of a new Asian star at Old Trafford.

Borussia Dortmund managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke has suggested that he is expecting Shinji Kagawa to leave the club with the player yesterday admitting that he has met with Sir Alex Ferguson.

But the Japanese is not what Manchester United need right now and his arrival could break up a potentially great strike partnership of Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney.

What the Red Devils do need can be found at White Hart Lane. Kyle Walker and Luka Modric are the men United need to sign to plug the gaps in their squad.
