Actress and host Vivian Lai set tongues wagging over her one-second peck on fellow actress Kate Pang's lips when Lai's name was announced as one of the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes at Sunday's Star Awards.

Lai, 36, told The New Paper the matter has been blown out of proportion and that she had done it on the spur of the moment.

She said: "How I show my happiness is up to me to decide. Why should I watch what people say?"

Pang too, says that it wasn't a big deal as the duo are as close as "sisters".
