NO MORE excuses in two years. We will definitely do better.
That was the sentiment among Singapore's South-east Asia (SEA) Games footballers yesterday, when The New Paper spoke to them at their hotel.
Said winger Gabriel Quak, who turns 21 next month: "The next SEA Games will be the last for me and some other players, we will definitely try to get to the final or win the gold medal."

2019 - Singapore beats Malaysia 1-0!!! Coach says "We're goina make it to the next World Cup." Then loses 5-0 to Uzbekistan and subsequently to other teams too in the qualifying round. Coach says "We'll come back stronger for 2026." if not then 2030 if not then 2034 if not then 2038...
to be continued..
We lack of potential young
We lack of potential young players who can be committed to play football for life. Thats a matter of fact that we need good income to survive. I can not play football with family going hungry. But our standard of players also can't ask for good price while play on the field. Now we buy players from China.. where else? i forgotten.
FAS should buy players from Japan and S.Korea.. if not N.Korea also not bad... they are proven sucess ya?
If we cant substain a good team, be humble pie. FAS and SSC, dont set this goal this plan for a target that is too far to reach.. there was a time they aim to enter WorldCup... What a joke! i think lets set Asian Cup Qualifer will be more realistic aim for the coming 8 years.
Individual sports can "convert" nationality of players and win gold medals.. but not team sport like football... unless you buy the whole JFA football team over
I am ok if we dont win, at least we lose with pride.
