After Miss Ang told her Singaporean ex-boyfriend that being content with a salary of $3,000 was not good enough for her, he called her materialistic.
The 21-year-old is now dating a 25-year-old German man, and she said this has changed her for the better.
Several other women we met at pubs in Clarke Quay also said they prefer Caucasians.

Firstly, I wonder how she came to the conclusion that Singapore men are childish etc, how many men did she really interact with to form such a conclusion? Or is she just stereotyping and making sweeping statements based on a 'small quantity narrow perspective sample'? And if she says that, can we not say she is materialistic too by telling her ex that the $3k monthly salary is not good enough for her? It seems to also be the so called general opinion that Singapore girls are materialistic and lovers of money, I will not support that statement because I have also met Singapore girls who are very prim and proper and who will not love someone because of money and materialism etc.
We should avoid making sweeping statements without verifying the actual facts first.
