When Muhammad Fazri Mohd Noor was arrested two days after a gang riot which killed Mr Mohamad Noraidi Zahari on July 23, 2010, he had told the police that it was Hassan Amat who had instructed him to gather his gang members at Chill Bar on that fateful day.
But when Fazri, 27, took the stand as a prosecution witness at the culpable homicide trial of Hassan Amat, 52, at the High Court, yesterday, he told the court that Hassan did not instruct him to do so.
Fazri was grilled during the cross-examination by defence counsel Mr Paul for the discrepancies in his statement.
