Woman’s body found in Kallang River after search

The body of a 36-year-old woman was found floating 10m away from the shore of Kallang River at about 10.30pm last night.

The police had received a call earlier in the day requesting assistance in the vicinity of Kallang Riverside Park.

A woman was suspected to have gone missing there. The Singapore Civil Defence Force was also informed, and personnel was later deployed for a water search-and-rescue mission.

The body found turned out to be that of the missing woman, and she was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
