Clooney zeroes in on castle near London for September wedding?
Where will be the wedding of George Clooney and fiancée Amal Alamuddin be held? And where?
Reports suggest that the couple have pencilled in a September date for the big day. They met for the first time last September.
The couple are believed to have zeroed in on Highclere Castle near London. It is better remembered as the home of TV series Downton Abbey, a show Alamuddin, 36, adores.
A source told Mail Online: "George became close friends with Hugh Bonneville, who plays Lord Robert Crawley (in the TV series), when they did Monuments Men together last year.
"And they really hit it off. He contacted Hugh and asked him to arrange a private tour of the castle. Amal was blown away.
"When he saw his bride-to-be’s reaction to the spectacular Victorian castle, set on 404ha of parkland, he began making some discrete inquires about getting married there."
No problems
The 53-year-old Hollywood superstar was told "there would be no problems".
Clooney and Alamuddin reportedly met at a party in September last year.
Initially, she refused to take his phone number. So he decided to kick it "old school" and send some seriously flirty e-mails, Huffington Post reported.
