Drug bust: Cops arrest son of Tatum O'Neal and John McEnroe
They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
In this case, Kevin McEnroe, son of former tennis champ John McEnroe and Acadamy-Award winning actress Tatum O'Neal, has turned out to be a bad apple at that, following in his mother's drug-fuelled footsteps.
The younger McEnroe was arrested on Tuesday night (July 15) in the middle of a drug deal in Manhattan's East Village, New York City, according to Mail Online.
The authorities caught the 28-year-old buying drugs, consisting of six bags of cocaine, 20 oxy pills, 10 morphine pills and one anxiety pill, from 22-year-old Niro Meneses, New York Post reported.
Doesn't that story sound familiar?
That's because his actress mother had also previously been caught, a few blocks from where the cops caught Kevin, buying crack and cocaine from a vagrant in 2008.
Earlier today, O'Neal posted an emotional tweet which we think is pertaining to her son's recent arrest. She has previously said that she has battled drug addiction since she was 14
O'Neal and her husband, John McEnroe (below), who is now a tennis commentator, divorced in 1994 after having three children Kevin, Sean and Emily.
According to E! Online, the younger McEnroe, is scheduled to appear in court on Oct 16.
