Fans react to Jessica Jung being ousted from Girls' Generation
They once had nine, but now, it's down to eight.
Girls Generation's management, SM Entertainment has finally released an official statement confirming the departure of Jessica Jung from one of the biggest girl groups to come out of South Korea, Soompi reported.
"This spring, due to her personal situation, Jessica said she would stop group activities after one more album.
"Despite Jessica's sudden statement, Jessica and the Girls' Generation members continued to work hard and carefully think over so that the team can continue to work in the best direction...

"We decided to continue Girl's Generation with eight members earlier than expected, and while talking about a date for the decision, Jessica left the post this morning," the management said.
"We plan to continue to support and manage Jessica's individual activities and Girls' Generation's activities as eight members."
According to Wall Street Journal (WSJ), in a post on Tuesday (Sept 23) on Weibo, Jung wrote that she had been informed of her exit from the group from the agency and the other eight members. She said she was "devastated" and added that she was pushed out "for no justifiable reason".
Many distraught fans took to Twitter to share their shock, kick-starting a hashtag showing their support for the ousted member.
Even Malaysian singer Shila Amzah felt the pain of Jessica's departure.
