K-drama My Love From The Star to get US remake
Hit South Korean TV drama, My Love From The Star, is set to make a splash in Hollywood.
ABC TV network described the show as an "epic supernatural love story about a world-famous pop star, Lark, and her anti-social neighbour, James, who happens to be from another planet," according to the Hollywood Reporter (THR).
The original Korean version, which starred actors Kim Soo Hyun and Gianna Jun, tells the story of an alien who landed on Earth in the Joseon Dynasty and, 400 years later, falls in love with a top actress in the modern era.
Vampire Diaries writers to helm adaptation
Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, the writers behind US drama series The Vampire Diaries, have jumped onboard for the ABC adaptation while South Korean producer Moon Bo Mi and Park Ji Eun, the show's original creators, will have a hand in executive producing, reported Yonhap News Agency.
Moon said: "We've been prepared for the US remake of the drama since February, and we're thankful for getting this opportunity."
