Lupita Nyong'o makes Vogue cover

Breakout star Lupita Nyong'o has hit another milestone, making the cover of Vogue magazine's July issue.

In March, she won an Oscar for her role in 12 Years a Slave. Three months later, the Yale University graduate joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.

"It just feels like the entertainment industry exploded into my life. People who seemed so distant all of a sudden were right in front of me and recognising me—before I recognised them!" "the Kenyan actress tells the fashion magazine in an interview.

She talks about her Oscar win, on landing the Face of Lancome role and her first cover of Vogue.

The gorgeous cover, which was released on Thursday, shows the Oscar-winning actress, 31, in a figure-hugging printed Prada dress in shades of purple and red from the designer's Fall 2014 RTW collection.

Mobbed

Nyong first realised that her life would never be the same after the SAG Awards in January, when she was mobbed by paparazzi at an airport.

"For a split second I looked behind me to see who they were flashing at—and it was me!" she recalls. "That was, I think, the beginning of the end of my anonymity."
