Yoga instructor and wife of 30 Rock star and notorious hothead Alec Baldwin, was working out several times a week during her pregnancy.

Just months after baby Carmen was delivered, Hilaria was on TV, tight yoga pants and all, showing off moves to help ordinary mums get her kind of figure.

Gwen Stefani

In 2007, the former No Doubt star admitted that she was obsessed with her weight. She kept up a gruelling exercise regime with a personal trainer until the last two weeks before the birth of her first son Kingston.

Hey presto! Just three months after delivery, she regained her prepregnancy body.

If that wasn’t baffling enough to us mere mortals, she appears to have pulled the same trick twice since. She gave birth to Zuma Nesta Rock in 2008 and the fantastically named Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale in February this year. And she’s bounced back to her svelte self.

"Posh" went back to a (UK) size 6 just weeks after the arrival of her fourth child, Harper Seven, in 2011.

She later revealed that she ran six days a week to shed the pounds. Which is odd, because she never struck us as anything close to sporty.

The supermodel went back to her super slender self in six months after giving birth to son Flynn.

After giving birth to her second daughter, Haven, in 2011, the actress revealed that she wore a double corset day and night for three months to get back her body shape. Okay, we will give her a pass on this. The corset was extremely painful and she also exercised four days a week.

Kate Middleton

The duchess gained only 13kg during her pregnancy and lost all of that within two months after delivering baby George.

She achieved that with a low-carb diet, running, walking, yoga and circuit-training workouts. Not, as some may think, through a strict regimen of intense royal waving.

Kim Kardashian

Never one for understatement, the reality star and wife of Kanye West said that shedding her baby weight was "the greatest challenge" of her life.

After giving birth to baby North on June 15 last year, it took her eleven months and the low-carb Atkins Diet to slim down. That said, the Daily Mail reported that she managed to shed at least 23kg in time for her wedding in May this year.

Last week, Elle.com asked Kim for her style advice to pregnant women. The answer: "...Hide. Never leave the house" and "wear a huge blanket."

Jessica Simpson

The Weight Watchers spokesman confessed that she put on a lot of weight when pregnant with her first child, daughter Maxwell Drew. She got a huge amount of flak for her weight gain after giving birth. But last year , after second child Ace Knute, she lost an amazing 27kg .
