CAP vs STARK
Who should really win the civil war between Captain America and Iron Man?
Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) never really got on, but they take their conflict to a whole new level in Captain America: Civil War. They settle things with a big dust-up, but here at M we're more civilised, and we sort things out with words.
So who's really the uber-est of these Marvel ubermen? And more importantly, whose side should YOU be on?
ACTOR POWERS
Evans' career has been divided between superhero movies and little-seen smaller flicks. He came to prominence as the Human Torch in the first Fantastic Four franchise about 10 years ago. For the past five years however, he's been Captain America full-time.
Downey Jr. came roaring out of the gate in the 1980s, and received an Oscar nomination for Chaplin in 1992. Drug problems caused his rep to tank, and he piddled around in small roles and films before being resurrected in Iron Man in 2008.
ROUND ONE: IRON MAN
RDJ had such a weird and wild career.
CHARACTER POWERS
Rogers takes the red, white and blue of his livery seriously, which is why he stands on the side of freedom when the government tries to take over the Avengers. Great leader, true friend, wicked fighter and awesome bone structure.
Feeling bad over collateral damage caused by the Avengers, Stark sides with the government. While still showing his characteristic wit, he's also a bit grim. He's lost his girlfriend Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and a friend is badly injured.
ROUND TWO: CAP
It's his movie after all, and he owns it.
TEAM POWERS
Cap is mostly fighting with second stringers like Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Falcon, Hawkeye, Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch. Bucky and Scarlet Witch tend to cause problems, while Ant-Man is a total rookie. Who's Falcon again?
Iron Man has great luck in landing one of the biggest names in the Marvel Universe, Spider-Man. He's also got his pal War Machine, Vision, Black Widow and cool newcomer Black Panther.
ROUND THREE: IRON MAN
Sorry, Cap. Iron Man's superfriends are cooler.
THE WINNER: IRON MAN
We love Cap, but when you look at the whole package, Iron Man is tops.
