Depp to pop up in Fantastic Beasts
From pirates to wizards?
Johnny Depp has joined the wizarding world for a role in the sequel to the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them.
What role Depp will play is still under wraps, but hints may be found in the first movie, opening here Nov 17, where the 53-year-old will have a brief cameo, reported Deadline.
Fantastic Beasts, which is directed by Potter veteran David Yates, stars Eddie Redmayne as adventurer Newt Scamander.
It is set 70 years before the events of J.K. Rowling's beloved book series.
Rowling said last month that there will be a total of five movies in the spin-off series.
G-Dragon and Pharrell mash-up?
A collaboration between Big Bang's G-Dragon and Pharrell Williams may come quicker than expected.
The Korean superstar recently uploaded onto his Instagram a photo of himself and Williams in a music studio with the caption "Coming Soon".
There is talk that the two fashion-forward musicians may also be working on a clothing line together.
Weeknd’s clothes in H&M stores
The Weeknd's XO clothing brand will be sold in H&M stores across the globe from March 2 next year.
The two-time Grammy winner is curating the pieces for the Swedish fashion company's Spring 2017 "Selected By" campaign.
This collaboration is the latest of projects for the Weeknd, whose roster also includes a forthcoming collaboration with Puma called PumaXO and his Legend Of The Fall world tour.
These projects are on top of the launch of his new album Starboy, which is scheduled for a Nov 25 release.
The 26-year-old Canadian will also be one of the performers at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Paris at the end of the month, where he will be joined by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
I’m alive: Val Kilmer
Val Kilmer wants everyone to know that he is alive and well.
Reports have been going around that the 56-year-old actor is severely ill after Michael Douglas raised concerns that Kilmer is suffering from throat cancer and that "things don't look too good for him" and "my prayers are with him".
Douglas made the comments in an interview in London on Sunday.
Kilmer wrote a lengthy post on his Facebook saying that Douglas, 72, was "misinformed".
"The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat, which prevented me from continuing a tour of my play Citizen Twain," he said.
"I have no cancer whatsoever. I still have a swollen tongue and am rehabbing steadily."
Kilmer said he has no hard feelings over Douglas' comments, adding: "Whatever led Michael (Douglas) to speculate about my health, he's a loving and devoted friend...and I'm sure he meant no harm."
