Not-so-silent Hill

Jonah Hill was caught in the cross hairs recently for using a homophobic slur on a paparazzo.

The US funnyman and Oscar-nominated actor has since apologised, but the 30-year-old is not exactly one who goes through a filtration process before he speaks.

Here are some of the crazier things that have come out of his mouth. Maybe he needs to shut up already?

"If sex doesn't come into play, I would want Channing (Tatum) as my partner."

- On his great chemistry with 22 Jump Street co-star Channing Tatum

"I'd such a big crush on you when you were on The Bachelorette. I'm totally crushing on you right now, I totally am."

- To Ali Fedotowsky, E! News host and star of reality dating series The Bachelorette 6

"The first movie was about the lameness of recycling a TV show into a film. And we call ourselves out right out of the gate in this one that sequels are bigger and crappier than the first ones."

- On how he prepared as screenwriter for both 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street

"I'm not answering that dumb question! I'm not that kind of person! Being in a funny movie doesn't make me have to answer dumb questions. It has nothing to do with who I am."

- When Rolling Stone magazine asked him what type of farter he was. (The same question was directed at This Is The End co-stars James Franco and Seth Rogen, who both gamely replied.)
