Beyonce ready to drop another surprise album?
Update: Beyonce on Tuesday announced an expanded boxed-set of her multimillion-selling self-titled album after speculation that she would drop another surprise release of new material.
The platinum edition of “ Beyonce,” with two CDs and two DVDs, will feature two new songs, four new remixes with star collaborators and a concert video.
It goes on sale on Nov 24.
If anyone knows a thing or two about keeping a major project under wraps, it's Beyonce.
In Dec 2013, she released a self-titled album - complete with music videos for all 14 tracks - with no warning to the music press or to fans.
Now it seems she's about to repeat the magic trick.
A picture tweeted on Nov 2 purportedly shows confirmed release dates and a tracklist for the upcoming album, which is being dubbed Beyonce Volume II, according to Mashable.
The document suggests the album will be an expanded version of last year's release, with new songs and DVDs - yes, plural - with even more music videos, and either full shows or clips from the two tours she embarked on in the last two years, the Mrs Carter Show World Tour and the On The Run world tour with rapper husband Jay-Z.
On Monday, Amazon basically turned the rumours into truth when they put up a link to the pre-order for a new Beyonce album, due out Nov 24.
According to Us magazine, fellow Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams was asked about the album by talkshow host Andy Cohen recently, but would only say: “Well, it’s not a surprise if…you know."
