Gardens By The Bay on BBC Earth tonight

Gardens on BBC Earth tonight

Gardens By The Bay will be featured in the series finale of BBC Earth's
Planet Earth II tonight, 8pm on BBC Earth (StarHub Channel 407).

The episode, which focuses on cities and how the natural world interacts
with urban environments, features how Singapore is an example of how
cities can work to be conducive to nature.

While we doubt this final episode will go viral like Planet Earth's iconic Snakes vs Iguana video that has garnered more than seven million views across the globe, it's nice to know that our little island will again be on the world map.

Drake's One Dance first song to reach one billion mark on Spotify

Drake's One Dance on Friday notched up another record - it is the first song to be played a billion times on Spotify.

The Canadian rapper's song, with a raw funk vibe but minimalist beat, has been in heavy rotation at clubs and parties this year. The track, which appears on Drake's top-charting album Views, features guest vocals by Wizkid, one of Nigeria's top singers, and British house artist Kyla.

Drake's totals on Spotify, the largest site in streaming, comes even though he has a tie-up with Spotify's rivals, Apple. - AFP

You better watch out with Neeson as Santa Claus

This is one Santa you don't want to have in your house.

Actor Liam Neeson played the portly character and he was terrifying. He hammed it up for a sketch on a recent episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert where he "auditioned" to play a mall Santa.

But this Santa is no Jolly Old Saint Nick, growling the lyrics "I see you when you're sleeping. I know when you're awake", channelling his former CIA operative character Bryan Mills from the Taken movie franchise.

Neeson also threatened to kill the reindeer who ran over grandma, before adding "Release the Kringle" as a kicker, a pun on his Clash Of The Titans movie.
