Nick Lachey tweets unborn baby's gender in a cute pic

The host of VH1's Big Morning Buzz and his wife are expecting their second child. 

Yes, you heard that right. Nick Lachey, 40, and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, 33, a US TV personality and model (previously known as Vanessa Minnillo), are on their way to having the pair's first daughter.

The reveal came via a picture in a tweet from the former 98 Degrees frontman showing the couple's 22-month-old son, Camden, running on the beach while the words "It's a Girl" were written in the sand within the confines of a heart, in the background.

The two first starting dating in 2006 after Minnillo starred in Lachey’s What's Left of Me music video and tied the knot five years later, in 2011.

Lachey was previously married to singer Jessica Simpson in 2002 before they called it quits in 2006.

The new Mrs Lachey had previously told E! News that she was "not past the exhaustion point and (she) could go a minute with just the three of (them) right now."

She later admitted that it was her singer-songwriter hubby who really wanted to expand their little family. She said that Nick once told her "baby, I'm 40. We gotta get it moving."

And indeed they did.
