Too much booty? JLo and Iggy Azalea join the booty-ful music videos list
Butts, butts and nothing but.
Music videos of late have turned into visual treats - or assaults, for the conservative - starring plenty of bottoms.
The likes of Rihanna, Shakira, Beyonce and Nicki Minaj have proudly jiggled their posteriors in their music videos.
And Jennifer Lopez, whose booty has been famous for decades, joins the party with her latest music video.
Booty feat. Iggy Azalea, which was released on Thursday, sees 24-year-old Australian rapper Azalea and 45-year-old Lopez in revealing bodysuits, offering plenty of wild gyrations and sex appeal.
Azalea even gives Lopez's bottom a cheeky smack.
The heat reaches boiling point when a drenched Lopez writhes on the ground, shaking her famous derrière.
S'PORE GRAND PRIX
It's not clear if such raunchy, eye-popping action is to be expected of her this Sunday when she performs at this year's F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
Lopez, who has insisted that the video is not meant to be vulgar, told Access Hollywood: "It's editorial, that was the buzz word. We wanted it to look very magazine cover-like - beautiful and sexy but classy."
But those 38-inch hips loses out to American rapper Minaj, whose hips measure 45 inches.
Minaj, 31, is currently reigning supreme with her Anaconda music video, released last month. It got almost 20 million views within 24 hours of its debut, surpassing the previous record held by Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball.
Minaj's super-sized asset is the star of the video.
It jiggles and gyrates to the beat, and at one point, attempts to claim rapper Drake's heart with a lap dance he does not seem to ask for.
Minaj makes no apologies when it comes to parading her perky bottom, even while she has come under fire for supposedly having butt implants.
"I wanted to reinstate something. Because of the shift in pop culture, even hip-hop men are really glorifying the less curvy body," the controversial rapper told ABC News.
"I wanted to say, 'Hey ladies, you're beautiful'.
"Hopefully, this changes things and maybe it won't change things, but I love it."
Before the video release, Minaj shocked the world with the album art for the single, which features her bottom in its full glory.
Fellow pop star Cyrus, 21, famous for her twerking antics last year, did not hesitate to give her own spin on Minaj's album cover.
She wore a giant prosthetic bottom while performing during her Bangerz tour.
That little gimmick has landed her on the wrong side of the law after a male back-up dancer hit her new accessory with the Mexican flag during a show in Monterrey, Mexico on the country's independence day.
But Cyrus, like Lopez, Azalea, Minaj and more, is riding the waves of this booty-jiggling trend, which shows no sign of dying out anytime soon.
