Renee Zellweger has changed so much you wouldn't recognise her
Everyone's burning question for Renee Zellweger? What did you do to your face.
The 45-year-old actress was unrecognisable at the 21st annual Elle Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles, California on Monday.
Gone was the fresh-faced blonde we came to love through the Bridget Jones movies.
In place was a woman we wouldn't hesitate to call a stranger.
Is this the result of plastic surgery? Or is this just natural ageing - a concept so foreign in Hollywood that we can't recognise it even when it's staring us in the face?
Nope, it's just plastic. At least, that's the consensus of the online community.
Just healthier and happier
But Zellweger told People magazine she looks different because she is healthier and happier than ever.
If that's what healthy and happy looks like in our 40s, we're a little worried.
It's not that we don't like her new look.
It's just that the change is too drastic for us to take in.
It makes us wonder... how will we recognise ourselves when we look in the mirror 10, 20 years from now? Will the change come overnight?
Granted we haven't seen Zellweger in the spotlight for years, but do people change that much?
Getting older
While we're busy agonising over the change, Zellweger is unperturbed by all the online chatter about her appearance.
She told People: "Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."
Well, Zellweger, we may not like your "new" face, but we love your attitude.
