School of Frock: The best & the worst from Grammys, Baftas, Fashion Week
Berlin International Film Festival! Grammys! Baftas! Fashion Week! So much fashion, so little space. We’re in the thick of things, people, and don’t the celebs know it. JEANMARIE TAN grades the week's fashion.
ELIZABETH BANKS
Photocall for Love & Mercy at the Berlin International Film Festival in Berlin
Gown: Elie Saab
Girlfriend doesn't even need an excuse like The Hunger Games promo tour to dress like her career depended on it. Resplendent as usual in a glittery ombre ballgown the colour of ruby, Banks is giving it her all, 24/7. Never mind that this is a photocall for one of her minor movies. Applause all round for her commitment to excellence.

LEA SEYDOUX
British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards ceremony in London
Gown: Prada
Of all the yellow gowns we've been inundated with since 2015 kicked off, this has to be the most spectacular one yet. It helps that the new French Bond girl is quite the fashionista already.

JANUARY JONES
Directors Guild Awards in Los Angeles
Pantsuit: Sandro
Shoes: Miu Miu
She's been a red carpet disaster all through 2014. But judging from her rare but successful attempt at sexy menswear, perhaps Jones' New Year's resolution was simply to not be one anymore. Well played - for now.

JORDIN SPARKS
Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute To Industry Icons honouring Martin Bandier in Los Angeles
Dress: Ali Younes
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
What a trooper. She's pooping worrying amounts of fabric from her appendix and inflicted with some sort of skin disease, but manages to put on a brave smile.

KIM KARDASHIAN
Roc Nation Pre-Grammy brunch in Los Angeles
Top and skirt: Balmain
How do you enjoy a brunch when you have to suck in your stomach the entire time? Because that's the only way she can possibly squeeze herself into this too-small, try-hard ensemble. Somebody tear this woman away from sample sizes, please.

EMILIA CLARKE
Louis Vuitton Series 2 The Exhibition in Los Angeles
Top, skirt and shoes: Louis Vuitton
I worship at the temple of Khaleesi, but I can't continue pledging allegiance to someone who looks like she's ready to help me fill up my car tank. While she's at it, the Game Of Thrones star should just douse some petrol on her hideous uniform and set it ablaze. Only then will all be forgiven.

WHO WORE IT BETTER?
When Thurman first took this forgettable black Alaia knit dress featuring a flared hem and cuffs for a spin, my mind wasn't blown. Two months later, Bellucci decides to give it a second chance. My mind is still in one piece, but at least Bellucci has the femme fatale thing going for her over the years. Thurman, with her bangs trauma, just looks fatal.

MONICA BELLUCCI
British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards ceremony in London, Feb 8
MOST IMPROVED
DIANNA AGRON
I'm generally a huge fan of power-clashing, but even this garish, severely mismatched combination of prints and colours is too much for me. It's like the gypsy section of a fabric store exploded on the poor girl. Luckily, Agron dialled it down dramatically at a later event in a subtle, minimalist and elegant red number. It's times like these when being standard is good enough.

HONOURABLE MAN-TION
NICK JONAS
Grammy Awards in Los Angeles
Suit and shoes: Versace
Who knew the frequently-topless, underwear-baring hunk could look just as yummy in a full-on grey plaid suit? Those white sneakers amp up the cool factor. Definitely a fashion risk not for the faint-hearted.
