Taufik Batisah the big local winner at Anugerah Planet Muzik 2014
Taufik Batisah has done it again.
The talented singer-songwriter, 32, was the biggest local winner at the Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM) 2014 held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre on Friday (Oct 17) night.
His doting army of fans stood strongly behind him as they pushed him to the top for the vote-based categories he was nominated for.
After rocking the house with his opening performance where he sang the vastly popular Awak Kat Mane (translates to Where Are You), a viral catchphrase Taufik came up with before turning it into a single, he bagged three awards beating out other famed names in the Malay music industry.

Taufik, who was nominated for four awards, won Ikon Media Sosial (Social Media Icon), Artis Paling Popular (Singapura) (Singapore's Most Popular Artist), and Lagu Paling Popular (Singapura) (Singapore's Most Popular Song).
He beat out fellow nominees Audionauts, Aliff Aziz, Hafiz, Shila Amzah, Sleeq and Sezairi, but lost the Artis Paling Popular APM (APM's Most Popular Artist) award category to Noah.
Taufik finally released his fifth studio album, Fique, last month (September). His previous studio production Suria Hatiku was unveiled almost six years ago.
Singaporean artist Awi Rafael was another local name who bagged the award for Kolaborasi Terbaik (Artist) (Best Artist Collaboration) for his single Kalau Aku Kaya which he worked with Altimet.
Popular Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza took home two awards - one for Best Female Artist and another for Lagu Terbaik (Malaysia) (Malaysia's Best Song).
Both accolades were for her song Lebih Indah.
