K-pop idols fail to impress in new drama
K-pop idols Baekhyun from boy band EXO and singer IU have been slammed for their poor acting in the highly anticipated new Korean period drama Scarlet Heart.
The drama marks 24-year-old Baekhyun's acting debut and he stars as one of the seven princes.
IU, 23, plays the female lead, a modern woman who is transported back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty.
According to entertainment site allkpop, Scarlet Heart - which premiered in South Korea on Monday - received complaints from many viewers about the pair's awkward and unnatural performances.
One viewer commented: "I thought they were competing to see who is the worse actor... Seriously, don't act from now on. They are both... so bad."
Scarlet Heart airs here every Monday and Tuesday at 9pm on ONE (Singtel TV Ch 513 and 604/StarHub TV Ch 124, 820 and 823).
