(Video) Lady Gaga surprises at jazz fest with Tony Bennett
Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance during legendary singer Tony Bennett‘s set at Montreal Jazz Festival on Sunday (June 29).
The duo gave the audience a preview of their forthcoming duets album, Cheek To Cheek.
Gaga performed a solo version of “Lush Life,” which had the 87-year-old Bennett gushing that she is “one of the best jazz singers I ever heard”, reported BillBoard magazine.
They sang “But Beautiful” together and then Bennett serenaded Gaga with “Sophisticated Lady” and dedicated his version of “The Good Life” to her as well.
She also reportedly told the crowd that their upcoming album “will be the end of the beginning of my career”, according to Idolator.
This wasn’t the first time the two debuted new material together. The two surprised students at the Frank Sinatra School Of Arts in NYC last month.
“I had the time of my life tonight,” she later wrote on Instagram after posting two photos of herself on stage with Bennett. After he sent her flowers, she said: "You've changed my life."
