First Film Fest 2: Prizes

November 30, 2011 - 4:49pm

For our second edition of FiRST Film Festival, Singapore's most successful film-maker Jack Neo – who returns as FFF's head judge – will groom selected finalists after the three-month-long competition.

He will share with them the various aspects of film-making and give them the opportunity to be part of the production of a commercial movie he'll be helming.

And that's not all.

As supporting partners of FFF, Neo's film company JTeam and leading production house MM2 Entertainment – which is behind hit local films such as 23:59 and Blood Ties – will help the winner develop his short film into a feature-length commercial movie.

We have some great prizes - up to $10,000 in grants from the Media Development Authority (MDA) and $500 each for our Best Actor and Best Actress from Jay Gee Card.

Also, we have $20,000 worth of Sony products up for grabs.

The winner of the Best Short Film this year will take home the top prize of a Sony NEX-VG20, an interchangeable lens Handycam, and a lens and accessories pack worth $5,485, courtesy of FFF sponsor Sony.

FiRST Film Fest 2012 is also introducing a special Sony Creativity Award that rewards the most original, imaginative and creative entry, which will win a Sony NEX-VG20 Handycam, with a lens and accessories pack, worth $4,057.
