I am writing in with regards to the YouTube Video- A Guy Pushing An Old Lady Off The Bus.
I just find how appalling and ridiculous for the 'videographer' to be sitting there and constantly taking footage of the action even when the action of the man is getting way out of hand.
These are the people whose act as as ridiculous as the one that they are filming about. The video was recorded from a seated passenger who did not even budge from his or her seat. (seen from the video footage). This is totally shameless and selfish.
I have seen many of such videos in which they find cheap ways to record for example, an NSF personnel sleeping/sitting on a priority sit in the MRT while a pregnant lady is standing in front of him.
What baffles me is that he or she can continue recording without giving the seat up first or politely tell the NSF about his actions.
Such videos recorded that might evoke some kind of response from the reader/audience should be handled smartly or at least, be mindful of the cause in mind.
Certain causes will trigger questions such as 'he or she can be seated there throughout recording? seriously TNP?
I urged TNP to take note of such cases and rather than just be a by-stander or 'using eye power'- a term we use in NS back then, as a citizen, I will so much grateful to having a news that step up with some actions if needed in accordance to the circumstances. I believe, to stand up and give the old lady a helping hand or take further action to the guy will be a much desired response rather than a stationery camera footage. I hope same goes for other incidents recorded.
I apologize if I came across harsh or bold with my words but it was not the intention. I do give my utmost support for TNP but at the same time, my sympathy goes out to the people recorded as well and the shame goes out to the person hiding behind the camera. Nevertheless, your stories do give us citizen something to share and talk about. Most importantly, it keeps us on our toes as well.

SMRT employs a lot of
SMRT employs a lot of security officers (SOs) and all train cabins/waiting areas are monitored via CCTV. Hence, to justify their existence SOs should step in whenever they detect passengers misbehaving. Furthermore, any passenger who strays out of line should have his/her antics video recorded and the footage played over the SMRT's TVs. This shaming will have a deterremt effect on erring passengers.
