All that glitters
CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN SPRING/SUMMER 2017
The famous red soles are back with another collection, and this time it's going tropical.
Warm and colourful Brazil, the designer's favoured destination during winter in Europe, is the inspiration.
Every shoe is inspired by different things in Brazil - the glittering fabrics and bold and neutral colours are drawn from the country's flora and fauna.
The Python KAA, Ayers Moreila and Canevas Jungle shoes show the mysterious creatures in the Amazon forest, while other shoes, such as the Full Moon, represent the sun's rays on skin.
Jewellery is also applied to the sandals in the collection that tells the story of free-spirited women dancing in the hot Rio nights.
The collection also features handbags, which display traditional artisanship with handwoven, patch-worked ribbons on Tissu Afridiam in the Eloise collection, and the Paloma Nano with faceted beads that shows the sunlight on sand.
Available in boutiques and luxury department stores now.
PARMIGIANI FLEURIER
TONDA MÉTROGRAPHE
Parmigiani Fleurier revisited one of its most iconic watches from the Tonda line.
The new Métrographe features a more dynamic design from watchmaking references, retaining its urban and expressive character, with a new tachometer indicated in the watches.
The black dial features a powdered rose gold decal on the hands of the two counters, while the white dial features blue hands, with its proportions being recalculated to allow time to be read more efficiently.
The Métrographe is powered by the PF315 self-winding movement, with the addition of a chronograph module.
Two straps are available - leather and steel. The new timepiece retails from $18,950, and is available exclusively at The Hour Glass.
