Tiger Woods' wife: The word betrayal isn’t strong enough
After four years of keeping silent about her relationship with ex-husband Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren opened up recently with a few jokes.
She also gave a sense of the pain she went through after finding out he was a serial cheat.
Nordegren, 34, admitted to People magazine that Woods' multiple affairs had rocked her to her core.
"I felt safe with him," she said. "The word betrayal isn’t strong enough."
But now things are "really good" between them after the 2010 divorce. Woods, a former World No 1 golfer, lives just a 25-minute drive away in southern Florida.
They see each other regularly as they share custody of daughter Sam, six, and son Charlie, five.
Good place
"I have moved on, and I am in a good place,” she said. “Our relationship is centred around our children, and we are doing really good — we really are. He is a great father.”
The home interview marked her May 10 graduation with top honours (and a 3.96 grade point average) from Rollins College, Florida.
She joked about her marital status in her inspiring commencement address which you can watch here.
