Video: Lupita Nyong'o faces her fear of snakes
Lupita Nyong'o is a talented actress. We all know that.
She even has the silverware to prove it.
Lupita Nyong'o won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role award for her role in 12 Years a Slave at the 86th Academy Awards in March.
The 31-year-old Kenyan always seems so well put together. So calm, so cool, so collected. A picture of grace.
The changes in her life in the past year have been immense - she has been propelled into the international spotlight, made the July cover of Vogue, became a Lancome spokeswoman, to name a few.
But she doesn't at all seem fazed by the attention.
So you'd be forgiven for thinking she'd be cool as a cucumber in every possible situation.
The impeccably dressed actress, however, has posted a video suggesting otherwise.
Just watch her eyes as they widen. And you can almost imagine her giving off a very girlish shriek before sprinting off in the opposite direction.
The actress had to handle a snake for her recent Vogue cover shoot in Marrakesh, Morocco and posted a behind-the-scenes shot on her Intsgram account.
The video's accompanying caption read: "@voguemagazine #bts: rehearsal for the snake shot. Nobody said being on the cover would be easy. #FightYourFearAndWin."
In any case, it's nice to know that Nyong'o isn't perfect.
