Watch Japanese schoolgirls perform crazy ninja moves
How far would you go to lure your friend to the beach?
If your answer is to lead her on heart-stopping roof-top chase across the city (including death-defying leaps off the roof of a Japanese castle) using all sorts tricks you'd find in a Japanese anime, then congratulations - you're officially a ninja schoolgirl from the Japanese city of Atami.
Seriously, just watch the video above.
Small warning: get ready for some wobbly Blair Witch (but jaw-dropping) handheld camera shots.
It starts out innocently enough with two Japanese schoolgirls messing around with a camera in the classroom...
...before the girl behind the camera takes off, for no apparent reason.
Her friend, who now has the camera, chases her into the corridor, where we get the first hint of the crazy awesomeness that's about to come.
The chase continues outdoors and takes to the roof where the insanity metre starts to climb...
The chase returns indoors to a science lab (with a drummer rocking out to provide a background beat, no less) before this mind-blowing scene on the fire escape:
That's a four-storey jump, minimum. Anyway, with both girls somehow still able to run, the pursuit takes to the streets and alleyways of Atami, where all sorts of parkour skills and ninja tricks start coming out.
Like ninja caltrops:
And of course, smoke bombs:
It gets better. The girls start climbing to the top of Atami Castle and when they reach the roof...
By the way, musasabi refers to the Japanese giant flying squirrel, if you're not too busy scooping up your jaw from the floor.
There's still space for more roof-top chasing, wall crawling (!) and even more running and jumping.
After flipping across a bridge, we're finally at the beach where our camera girl manages to tag her flighty friend.
After rolling around in the sand for what seems like an eternity, the two tired friends sit up and face the sea.
Now, the girl who started running feels a little thirsty, so her friend reaches into her backpack and pulls out...
...a bottle of C.C. Lemon soft drink! It was all an ad!
So the next time you need a pick-me-up, forget about Red Bull giving you wings.
C.C. Lemon makes you a ninja!
