Why 2 big meals are better than 6 snacks
Want to lose weight?
A new study shows that having a big breakfast and lunch is better for controlling weight and blood sugar levels than having six tiny meals.
This meal regimen is best for people with type 2 diabetes, but those trying to lose weight could also benefit from it, reported Mail Online.
In the study conducted by a Czech Republic team, those who ate twice a day lost around 3.7kg, while those who snacked lost around 2.3kg.
This study comes on the back of another report that suggested that snacking was more harmful to health than three hearty meals.
So it seems our ancestors got it right after all: Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.
