Zayn Malik foots bill for fiance's mom's new home
One Direction's Zayn Malik proves himself to be the perfect son-in-law by buying Perrie Edwards' mum a house
He may have just won the award for best future son-in-law.
One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik has proven himself to be the perfect future son-in-law after reportedly splashing out more than £200,000 on a new house for the Little Mix singer's mum Debbie in Dorset.
After hearing Debbie was keen to relocate from South Shields, Perrie, 20, was going to help her out by footing the mortgage - before her generous 21-year-old fiance stepped in.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Debbie has been saying how she's got a new house. Perrie was going to get the mortgage for her and then Zayn offered to buy it outright.
"She is just moving stuff in now. It costs more than £200,000 and is a new build."
Malik and Perrie have been dating for two years after they met when One Direction performed on the British edition of reality TV series The X Factor - which Little Mix eventually went on to win - with the Bradford-born singer popping the question in August 2013.
The source added: "He's a really nice chap for buying the house. It's a lovely gesture ahead of their wedding. He gets on really well with her family."
A nice chap would have to be the biggest understatement of the year, wouldn't it?
