Can't get enough of Mraz

TWO members of local bilingual pop-rock group Black Forest have already got their tickets for US singer-songwriter Jason Mraz’s concert here on June 29.

But that’s not stopping the quintet from taking part in our LOUD Cover Contest this month, which puts the spotlight on Mraz, with a chance to win a pair of tickets to his Gardens by the Bay gig.

Black Forest’s current line-up is made up of vocalist and keyboardist Goh Ren Hui, guitarist Sky Ong, bassist Ang Xin Hui, all 24, drummer Adwin Lin, 31, and guitarist Ernest Chua, 34.

The five-year-old group’s original songs ran the gamut from the edgier rock of My Freedom to their latest, old-timey ditty Mr You.
