LOUD Cover Contest: Winning hearts

CREATIVITY and heart got the judges’ attention for last month’s LOUD Cover Contest.

We had put the spotlight on US pop star Katy Perry and Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, both of whom are performing at the 2012 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix next month.

While both international performers put on great live shows, our contest participants stripped down their songs in unique ways to win a chance to watch them live at the Padang.

Winners Steve Soh and Fauzi Jafferi were praised by the judges for their creative and slick covers - Mr Soh did a mash-up of Jay Chou's Said Goodbye and The Longest Movie, while Mr Fauzi covered Katy Perry's Part Of Me.
