WHEN a young local band gets chosen to play at alternative music festival Baybeats, the expected response would be ‘Aww yeah’.
For the four guys in Pep Talk, the collective feeling went something along the lines of “Uh, hold up”.
“It all happened a bit fast,” said drummer Hassanuddin Rosly, 19.
They are a band so young – literally and professionally – that they’d never done an interview before until LOUD came knocking (or messaging) – on their recently created Facebook page.
They play at The Pigeonhole this Saturday alongside Australian singer Gabriel Lynch and veteran local musicians Typewriter.
More in LOUD in The New Paper on Tuesday (May 1).
