Miss Thailand's tuk-tuk voted Best National Costume at Miss Universe pageant

Miss Thailand Aniporn Chalermburanawong's costume was voted the Best National Costume at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant on Monday morning (Singapore time).

This year's winner was decided by public votes which were cast on the Miss Universe's website.

While it is unknown how many votes Miss Thailand's got, the costume is certainly a shining example of costume making.

The 21-year-old's tuk-tuk inspired costumed was chosen via a national contest, reported Bangkok Post.

There were 356 entries and the tuk-tuk, the iconic motorised rickshaw common in Thailand, was chosen to represent Thailand.
