Sofia Vergara is highest paid TV star: Forbes
Colombian-American actress Sofia Vergara is the highest paid TV actress for the fifth year in a row, according to Forbes.
The 44-year-old took in US$43 million (S$58 million) between June last year and June this year. It is the highest amount that any television actor, male or female, has made in 2016.
Vergara, known for playing the role of Gloria in TV sitcom Modern Family, placed ahead of US actresses Kaley Cuoco and Mindy Kaling, who came in second and third, with US$24.5 million and US$15 million respectively.
Vergara's earnings also include her endorsement and licensing deals for products such as Head & Shoulders and CoverGirl.
