It's a boy! Taiwanese actress Vivian Hsu gives birth in Singapore
Vivian Hsu has given birth to a baby boy in Singapore.
The singer-actress, who is married to Singapore-based Indonesian businessman Sean Lee, announced the arrival of her son Dalton Lee over her social media accounts on Monday (Aug 17).
The 40-year-old, who has endured a difficult pregnancy that has seen her spend more than 140 days in bed, underwent a Caesarian section at Mount Elizabeth Hospital last Thursday (Aug 13).
Dalton, whose name was chosen to fill the gap between the names of his stepsisters Clara and Elisha, was introduced to the world in the arms of his proud mother.
The post, written from Dalton's perspective, said: "Mummy says my long eyes and long fingers are like hers and the rest of me resembles my dad! But sorry to say, granny thinks I'm more handsome than daddy!"
Hsu only announced the news this week after she had spent some time recovering from the operation.
Despite the problems she faced with the pregnancy due to her age, Hsu waited till the 32-week mark to undergo the procedure to minimise complications for Dalton upon his birth.
