Bobbi Kristina Brown dies after six months in coma
Bobbi Kristina Brown's death became the second tragedy to hit the Houston family in three years.
The 22-year-old daughter of the late US singer Whitney Houston died after spending almost six months in a medically induced coma.
Nick Gordon, Brown's husband, had found the reality television star lying unconscious, face down, in her bathtub in her Georgia home on January 31.
According to Variety, Brown was revived and admitted to a hospital where she was placed in a medically induced coma as a result of swelling in the brain.
Last month, she was transferred to a hospice in Atlanta when her condition took a turn for the worst.
"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," Brown's aunt, Pat Houston said in a statement.
"As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."
An update posted on Whitney Houston's official Facebook page on Sunday confirmed Brown's passing.
Numerous celebrities have since taken to Twitter to express their condolences.
