Leo & behold, Sheeran gets inked again

He has the Heinz tomato ketchup logo, Lego man and a teddy bear inked on his body, but Ed Sheeran's latest tattoo is his most controversial yet.

The English singer-songwriter, 24, uploaded a photo on Instagram showing a large lion's head chest tattoo, with the caption: "Halfway and ouch".

The tattoo is said to be a celebration of his three sell-out gigs at Wembley Stadium in the UK, as the England football team's logo features lions, but some fans have expressed horror at the design.

"RIP my entire soul," one said.

"Please let that be a joke," an outraged fan expressed.

But some have expressed support for Sheeran and called the lion "awesome."

"I hope that regardless of what others think, that you like it. I sure do," one follower said.

Sheeran took to Twitter and lashed out at critics, writing that the lion wasn't the first weird tattoo he had, adding that "it won't be the last".
