Lionel Richie: 'HELLO @adele is it me you're looking for...'
Someone has done a mashup of Adele's new single, "Hello" with Lionel Richie's most successful 1984 ballad with the same name, and Richie is getting in on it.
BlendTV posted the 11-second mashup on YouTube on Oct 23, which has received almost 3 million views since, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The video titled "Lionel calls Adele to say Hello (BlendTV)" starts with Adele answering a call on her flip phone with her singing "Hello". It then cuts to Lionel singing the famous line "Hello? Is it me you're looking for?".
The video ends with Adele flipping the phone close, "cutting" Lionel off.
Lionel Richie, 66, posted the mashup video on his Instagram, much to everyone's amusement.
Before the video post, he had posted a picture of himself and the "Someone like You" singer side-by-side, with the caption "HELLO @adele is it me you're looking for...#hello"
